At the beginning of the school year, students from Olympic, Hough and Garinger high schools began a collaborative photography and poetry project with The Light Factory to build environmental awareness.
Through guest lectures and hands-on learning, they began to form opinions about what is happening to the world around them. An overnight stay at Camp Thunderbird gave them time to connect with each other and create photography and poetry in a natural setting.
Fifty students participated. Their artwork is on display through May 13 in the Light Factorys Middleton McMillan Gallery. To learn more, visit www.lightfactory.org.
