THE REASON: To raise money for the American Heart Association's research and educational programs.
THE BUZZ: Event chair was Kevin Henry of Snyder’s-Lance…now in its 54th year, the gala is Charlotte’s longest running black-tie fundraiser…the 700 guests at the Calypso-themed party raised more than $775,000 for the cause.
