I’m so clever

Nail polish helps mark the spot

The winner: I keep a bottle of bright red nail polish on hand for marking things. Example: The cellphone plug will only go into the phone one way. Trying to force it the wrong way can damage the charging port. So I mark the correct side with the polish. Heinz J. Stevens, Charlotte

Magic with magnets

In the past, I would tape a 12-month desktop calender to the refrigerator door. The tape would leave a residue when the calendar fell sometime in May or June. My husband’s suggestion was to use rubber cement to get promotional magnets to adhere to the back of the calendar. The calendar is now easy to remove. Kathie Andrews, Gastonia

Another use for Observer bag

I needed some packing material for a birthday present I was mailing. I took the Observer plastic wrapper, blew air into it, tied it and stuffed it into the box. It was the perfect fit I needed. Karen McDaniel, Rock Hill
