Beads focus of new Mint fashion exhibit

Evening gowns, cocktail dresses and ensembles from the Mint Museum’s fashion collection will be featured in an exhibition opening in May focusing on the decorative uses of beadwork embroidery on 20th- and 21st-century women’s fashions.

“And the Bead Goes On,” opening May 26 and running for nine months, will contain the works of designers Halston, Bob Mackie, Giorgio Armani, Oscar de la Renta and Alber Elbaz for Lanvin. It will be presented at the Mint Museum Randolph.
