Unofficial Results: Marriage amendment
North Carolina voters approved Amendment One on Tuesday by a vote of 61 percent to 39 percent. Seven counties voted against the amendment, which would limit marriage to a union between a man and a woman. Those
counties were: Mecklenburg, Wake, Orange, Durham, Chatham, Watauga and Buncombe.
