On Sunday, The Observer announced its 10 Seniors of the Year from schools across the region (see charlotteobserver.com/graduation). Each of the 10 won a $1,000 scholarship and came from a pool of 141 young achievers from 105 schools, all nominated by school counselors based on academic performance, character and civic involvement. Thirty-four were chosen to be interviewed personally. Here are the other 24 finalists, each pictured with a memento they chose to share with us.
