Originally from England, Sarah Ryberg has lived in Charlotte for the last 12 years and is a graduate of UNC Charlotte. After two whirlwind weddings - one in Charlotte and another in her homeland - Sarah is settling into married life and learning what it takes to be a Mrs. You can reach Sarah at sarahmryberg@yahoo.com

This week the bachelorette and her bachelors flew to London! Being that they were in my homeland, I was interested to see where they would go on their dates. The dates were exciting to watch and it’s getting harder to decide who Emily will pick.

Sean was the first date of the night and the pair explored the city in style. There’s nothing like a double-decker bus tour to really enjoy London’s sights. I loved watching Sean’s enthusiasm during their date and his confidence about love is so attractive. Emily called him “marriage material” and I think she’s right. How cool was it that they had dinner in the Tower of London, too? I wish hubby and I could have done that on our honeymoon.

Jef and Emily’s date was just as interesting though. The pair got off to a strange start with the etiquette tea. You could feel how awkward it was for them to be corrected on their eating habits; however, dinner at the pub and dessert on The London Eye made up for it. The pair finally shared their first kiss, too!

Just when I thought I was done swooning over the locations, they headed off to Stratford-upon-Avon and performed Shakespeare! I was engrossed because it was Shakespeare, but this group date said a lot about the remaining bachelors, too.

Arie and Travis were the best performers. Travis really had fun with it, and although Arie was nervous, he let go of his fears. It was Ryan who got to play Romeo in the kissing scene though. They still didn’t have much chemistry, and although he surprised Emily with a necklace and an extra performance later on, I hope she’ll remember his arrogant side.

Kalon’s performance wasn’t impressive either. He took the date too seriously and even shooed Emily away during the rehearsal. However, his negative actions finally came back to haunt him. Kalon called Ricki baggage and Doug shared the news with Emily. Moments later he was on his way home. I think we’re all relived that Emily saw Kalon for who he was. And how great was it when she called him out for interrupting her??

The experience with Kalon caused Emily to bring out the big guns. She was armed with tough questions for her bachelors and you could tell they were feeling the pressure. I was worried for a moment that Arie was going home, but after leaving us on the edge of our seats, she sent Alejandro home instead.

Emily knows what she is looking for in a man, and if a bachelor isn’t ready for the role, she’s not afraid to send him packing. It’s one of her most admirable traits, and in the end, you know she’ll pick the right bachelor. But who will it be? My bets are on Arie or Sean, but you never know who will stay and who will be packing his bags.
