Nations Ford Elementary fifth-grader Joseph Brown’s poem has been selected to be published in the student anthology “Award-Winning Young Writers of America 2012” as part of the Young Writers of America Poetry Contest.
The school had three fifth-graders submit poetry entries, choosing from three topics: "The World as I See It," "What My Family Means to Me" and "My Wish for the World."
Joseph’s poem, "Insecurity," addressed his wish for the world. He will also be entered to win a grand prize, which includes an X-BOX 360, iPod Touch, Kindle Fire or cash prize.
