Dilworth business destroyed in fire

April Bethea and WCNC-TV

Charlotte fire investigators are trying to determine what caused an early-morning blaze Saturday that destroyed a building in Dilworth.

Meanwhile, the security firm that leased the facility said the fire won’t disrupt its business, and they hope to be in a temporary corporate headquarters on Monday.

The fire started just before 2:30 a.m. in the 700 block of East Boulevard. The building was previously occupied by the Allen Tate Realtor Company, but had most recently used by Total Protections USA. No employees were there at the time.
