The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has arrested a Charlotte man in connection with an alleged armed robbery.

Isiah Davis, 23, has been charged with common law robbery. It’s his third robbery arrest since 2006.

Last Tuesday, officers responded to an armed robbery call in the 3800 block of South Boulevard, according to a news release from the police department.

At the scene, the robbery victim told officers that the suspect had followed him on Weona Avenue.

The victim told police that the suspect showed a weapon and took the victim’s wallet from his pants, the release said.

The victim said he had kept an eye on the suspect until police arrived at the scene, and he pointed out the suspect across the street to officers, the release said.

Officers then detained Davis, whom the victim positively identified, and later arrested him.

After searching Davis, officers found the victim’s wallet and a toy gun, the release said.
