Originally from England, Sarah Ryberg has lived in Charlotte for the last 12 years and is a graduate of UNC Charlotte. I may be betraying my home country by saying this, but Dubrovnik is my favorite city so far. The ancient streets and colorful buildings were gorgeous! But those streets led Emily to a few truths this episode, and after watching the movie “Brave” with the guys, her focus moved to choosing her fate. Who will Emily choose to be her future husband? With only a few weeks left to go, I feel this episode really highlighted her favorite choices. Here’s who made it to my top three picks:

Arie:

While there are a few bachelors that she has chemistry with, there’s something very strong between Emily and Arie. It was surprising to see him so close to going home last week, but everything seems great between them now. He showed that he learned his lesson when he snuck out to talk to her about Ryan. Oh, and how about that kiss on the city streets?

Sean:

Sean is such a genuine guy with a steadfast belief in love and family. Plus, he was really impressive in the highland games, particularly when he broke the log in the caber toss. Sean would definitely be a good match for Emily, and second to Arie, they have the strongest connection.

Chris:

I’m not sure how I feel about Chris. He made a great impression on their first date, but he can be defensive, too. I don’t feel that he had a valid reason for attacking Doug a few episodes back, but at the same time, he tries hard for Emily. Although he wasn’t the strongest competitor in the highland games, he volunteered to go first and picked a stronger bachelor as his competitor. Emily game him the bravest award because she admired his enthusiasm, and I feel like that is something she looks for in a man.

What do you think about Jef with one f? Any strong fans out there? Please share!

Meanwhile, I’m not surprised that Travis and Ryan went home. Travis had the first date last night and, while there was plenty of hugging and dancing, there wasn’t any romantic chemistry. They appeared to be better friends than partners, but it was still tough to see one of the good guys go home.

As for Ryan, I am glad to see him go home! It didn’t appear that he was in it for the right reasons. Even when she didn’t give him the rose, he tried to argue his way into getting it. Ryan wasn’t all bad, in fact, he had some playful and sweet qualities. However, his continual references to Emily as a “trophy wife” confirmed that he wasn’t the right fit for her.

Were you on the edge of your seat with me during the rose ceremony? It looked like Doug and John were going home, but Emily changed the rules this week, and nobody went home during the ceremony. Of course, there is a lot coming up that could change my top three picks, like the fact Arie had a relationship with one of the producers. Who do you think Emily will choose for her husband?
