By Steve Lyttle

Crews will be working on Interstate 77 near Charlotte's uptown area again Wednesday night and early Thursday on the lighting project.

The work, which also has taken place on several nights earlier this week, is scheduled from 9 p.m. until about 6 a.m. Thursday. Crews will close the right lane of northbound I-77 between Fifth Street (Exit 10B) and the Brookshire Freeway (Exit 11).

And at 10 p.m., crews will close these ramps:

-- Brookshire Freeway West to I-77 South

-- Fifth Street to I-77 North

-- Trade Street to I-77 North

This is part of a $473,000 project to improve lighting on I-77, I-277 and a section of I-85 in Cabarrus County.
