If you insist on staying inside with the air conditioning during these humid 90-degree days, I blame you not. But here are a handful of events and parties worth leaving the house for this weekend.

Thursday

Big Boss Tap Takeover: The brewery Prohibition (200 N. Tryon St.) is tapping kegs of beer that are otherwise tough to find in North Carolina, including Angry Angel, Blanco Diablo and Monkey Bizz-ness. 5 p.m. $5 flights (three beers) and free food from Dandelion Market. 704-358-4244.

Friday

CLTmusic.com presents The Wall, Live: Local artists and musicians will perform Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” at Neighborhood Theatre (511 E. 36th St.) as a precursor to Roger Waters’ Charlotte concert at Time Warner Cable Arena on July 10. Doors open at 8 p.m., free show. 704-904-4970.

Saturday

Charlotte Bayou Festival: The inaugural event at Independence Park (300 Hawthorne Lane) features an all-you-can-eat buffet of crabs and Cajun seafood. Me, I’m deathly allergic to shellfish – if it even touches me I break out in hives (something I learned the hard way during the last date I went on). If you are, too, just steer clear of the food spread and stick to the beer, arts and crafts, and live music. Noon-8 p.m. Free admission; $30 for the buffet. www.charlottebayoufestival.com.

Superhero Bar Crawl: Dress up like your favorite comic-book superhero (or villain) and fight crime in uptown – or wreak havoc, rather – while bar-hopping from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Starts at the Breakfast Club (225 N. Caldwell St.), ends at Whisky River (210 E. Trade St.), with five stops between. Just please don’t drink so much that you think you can actually fly. $10. 704-516-2674.

Sunday

Corona Island: The official tailgate party for the Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney concert at Bank of America Stadium is at the Dog House (corner of Mint and Morehead, right across from the stadium) and features live music from country artists the David Michael Band, The Farm, and Love and Theft. Since it’s like tailgating for a football game, it starts at noon and goes until the concert starts (at 4:30 p.m.). Free. 704-570-1037.
