Even if you didn’t make the cut for “Idol” there’s still the chance to be a star.
The 19th annual Renaissance Festival will hold open auditions from 6:30-9 p.m. June 27 and from 9 a.m. to noon June 30. Auditions will be held on the second floor of the Ballantyne Arts Center, 11318 North Community House Road.
Pro and amateur roles are available and the festival is also seeking to fill specific roles: adult male actors for The Royal Guard, interactive “Living Statues,” variety performers (jugglers, circus skills, etc.) and outgoing personalities to portray renaissance-era villagers.
Ages 16 and up are welcome to audition. Prepared material, head shots and resumes are appreciated, but not required. This year’s festival will run every Saturday and Sunday from Oct. 6 – Nov. 18. To schedule an audition: 704-896-5555 or vreanie@royalfaires.com. For more info: www.renfestinfo.com.
