A 13-year-old Charlotte girl who went missing nearly a month ago has been found, police said, and a 31-year-old has been charged with her kidnapping.
Jacqueline Alfaro’s mother reported her missing on May 24. The teen had last been seen with a man in the Foxford Place neighborhood off Shamrock Drive in east Charlotte, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
Earlier this month, police released a photo of the man and asked for the public’s help to identify him.
With the assistance of the FBI and police in Berkeley, Mo., authorities found Jaqueline in St. Louis, police said Friday.
With her was 31-year-old Gonzalo Maceda Barrera, police said. He is charged with first-degree kidnapping.
