I-77 ramp in Huntersville to close

The ramp from Gilead Road to northbound Interstate 77 in Huntersville will be closed for about nine hours late Tuesday night and early Wednesday so crews can work on the road surface.

The ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday. Crews will be milling and resurfacing the pavement.

A detour will take motorists on Statesville Road (U.S. 21) and Sam Furr Road (N.C. 73) back to I-77 North.
