Daniel Esposito, 15, of Mint Hill, shows off one of the wristbands hes been selling at Independence High School and St. Johns First Baptist Church in Charlotte to raise funds for his friend Corson Hicks, who is undergoing treatment for bone cancer.
Daniel has raised $1,300 in a little more than two months, said his mother, Elaine Esposito. The funds will go to Levine Childrens Hospitals youth center, and Corson, 15, will have a say in how the money is spent.
Daniels mother said he didnt do this for the attention: Daniel has stuck with Corson throughout the entire friendship, and were proud of him.
