Thursday
Bobcats NBA Draft Party: You can join some Bobcats, Lady Cats, and even Rufus at Time Warner Cable Arena (333 E. Trade St.). to see who Charlotte selects with its No. 2 pick, live, on the JumboTron. If we have to sit through watching the New Orleans Hornets get Anthony Davis, might as well have fun while doing it. 6-9 p.m. Free. www.bobcats.com.
Friday
All American Pub: Fridays are date nights for many Charlotteans, so why not mix things up? (I’m talking in terms of where to go on the date, not the person you’re dating.) Go check out the bar that recently opened in the old Jillian’s space, at 200 E. Bland St. 704-370-2000.
The Tin Roof Bar: Also new, this giant patio at The Saloon (900 Seaboard St.) is now open for business – or pleasure, to be more precise. The space offers three TVs, a fire pit, cornhole, and a full-service bar. Live music will also be a staple. 704-716-2327.
Kiss 95.1 FM Summer Jam: Amos’ Southend (1423 S. Tryon St.) hosts an all-ages show featuring alternative hip-hop duo Chiddy Bang and Australian DJ/singer/dancer Havana Brown. $15, or $50 for a VIP ticket that includes a meet-and-greet with the musical guests. 704-570-9595.

Charlotte Squawks “8 Misbehavin’ ”: The final performance of this season’s parody of Charlotte-centric pop culture, politics and sports. 8 p.m. Booth Playhouse (130 N. Tryon St.). $30-35. 704-372-1000.
Sunday
“Esposito”: EpiCentre Theatre (210 E. Trade St.) hosts the premiere of this romantic comedy about “a crafty, impulsive young man who works as an antique buyer for his uncle’s store.” Filmed in Charlotte, it stars local actors and was written by Charlotte native Erin Fede. 6 p.m. $10. 704-688-2400; www.espositomovie.com.
5 Church Sunday Brunch: The new uptown restaurant, at the corner of Fifth and Church streets, turns into a party hangout with a DJ, homemade daytime cocktails, and menu options for foodies (or people just needing some good hangover food). 10 a.m.-6 p.m. 704-919-1322.
