CONCORD Poplar Tent Road is closed near its intersection with Harris Road in Cabarrus County while crews respond to a vehicle accident involving downed power lines.
Concord firefighters, police and transportation workers are assisting the N.C. Highway Patrol and Duke Energy in responding.
The closure is at the 9800 block of Poplar Tent Road. Motorists traveling in the area should use Harris, Cox Mill and Odell School roads as alternate routes. Scott Verner
