Rock Hill woman accused of stabbing son with grill fork

A Rock Hill mother is accused of stabbing her son in the chest late Thursday with a grilling fork.

Police went to the 400 block of Hall Street around 10:30 p.m. Thursday where they found 21-year-old Paul Mobley holding his chest and bleeding. Mobley told officers that his mother had stabbed him, according to a police report.

Denise Mobley, 44, was arrested and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, police said. She told officers that her son had hit her over the head with a plastic chair before she stabbed him with a two-prong fork.

Police weren’t able to find the weapon, the report stated, because Mobley’s boyfriend “threw the fork somewhere after the incident.”
