Man probed in Usher stepson's lake accident

Man probed in Usher stepson’s accident

A family friend is under investigation after a boating accident critically injured Usher’s 11-year-old stepson from a previous marriage and reportedly rendered the boy brain-dead.

Atlanta resident Jeffrey S. Hubbard struck Kile Glover, the son of the singer’s ex-wife Tameka Foster, while on a personal watercraft as the boy floated on an inner tube attached to a pontoon boat on Georgia’s Lake Lanier Friday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. Hubbard had rented the personal watercraft and boat with Foster and her son.

Kile and a 15-year-old girl who was floating with him on the inner tube were airlifted to an Atlanta hospital. Kile was in critical condition Tuesday afternoon, according to the Journal-Constitution, while sources told TMZ that no brain activity had been seen since his arrival at the hospital. The girl was in stable condition with a cut on her head and a broken arm, MTV News reported. The boy’s father is Atlanta TV executive Ryan Glover. Los Angeles Times

Is Johansson kicking butt to the bank?

Scarlett Johansson is, of course, priceless – but has her Hollywood price actually risen to the top of the lady-actor payrolls?

A report out Monday claimed “The Avengers” femme fatale would earn $20 million for her return to the superhero blockbuster’s sequel. That amount would trounce Angelina Jolie’s highest-paid actress record for her $19 million role in “The Tourist.”

Johansson’s character, Black Widow, is a fan favorite, and the actress played the leather-clad Russian agent with sultry verve. But she pocketed only $400,000 for her role in “Iron Man 2,” another sequel to a cash-cow production.

Having heard nothing about such exceptionally exorbitant earnings, Johansson’s rep told E! Online the report was unsubstantiated. Los Angeles Times

Sienna Miller’s baby is news to the world

Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge welcomed a new baby in London over the weekend – but with News of the World out of the picture, nobody appears to be hacking into their personal business.

The birth was first reported by Us Weekly, which later said the wee one was a “she” one. E! News reported the baby girl’s name to be Marlow.

Miller is known for guarding her privacy since her life with Jude Law was scooped in the middle of last decade.

Reports that the “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” actress and her actor beau were engaged popped up in February, when she was photographed with a diamond ring on her left hand. Sturridge, 26, is best friends with “Twilight” heartthrob Robert Pattinson. Los Angeles Times
