Police: 2 were walking nude in Charleston

Two men were arrested after walking naked through downtown Charleston.

The Post & Courier newspaper in Charleston reported the two were arrested on Monday after telling police they thought it was a good idea to strip off their clothes and walk around downtown.

Christoph Robin Egan, 19, and Andrew Stephen Dunford, 21, both from Montclair, N.J., were charged with indecent exposure after police found them "completely in the nude" walking along Logan Street around 2 a.m., according to police reports. Police said the men's speech was slurred and they had bloodshot eyes.

Egan was holding a cell phone while Dunford carried their clothes in a bag.

Charleston-based WCSC reports officials contacted the United Kingdom Consulate in Washington, D.C. because Dunford is a U.K. citizen.
