Drum roll please...
I lost weight! I had confessed to y'all last week that I had claimed independence from my diet on the 4th and was worried about how that, along with camp, would affect the weight-loss plan. Well, I'm happy to report that I lost 3 inches off my waist! I decreased in all measurements except my thighs, but that measurement can vary a little bit. Words cannot even express how excited I am!!! All of the other Get-Fitters showed up for the weigh-in at Flex + Fit and it was great to see everyone again. I am incredibly blessed to be in program where it doesn't feel highly competitive and mean spirited; the girls are encouraging and so supportive of one another!
Plan for the rest of the month? Stick to Weight Watchers like velcro, make healthier dishes, and exercise. At our local Y, they just added Bollywood and belly dancing -- we'll see how daring I feel next week! The Y offers such a variety of classes, provides encouragement and support for beginners, and is always striving to bring in classes that interest members. Not to mention it's super fun! I did Zumba Cardio yesterday for the first time and loved it! I don't know about you, but I dread exercising; I just never look forward to it! But once I walked in and began the workout, it became fun and the hour flew by. Regular Zumba is tonight so please come and join me!
I saw this e-card on Pinterest and laughed but it's so true! I seriously have to stop planning a virtual wedding and start planning the actual wedding that's in less than 10 months! We're meeting with the DJ on Saturday and we can't wait! Jason is so into filmmaking, and with that comes a love for music. We both LOVE to dance and it's the part of the wedding that we're looking the most forward to. Now we're no So You Think You Can Dance stars but we enjoy breaking out the sprinkler, grocery cart and funky monkey. Jason has spent nearly this entire week not only jotting down must-have songs, but also outlining the schedule for the songs. I laugh, but it really makes me happy that he's taking such an interest in the wedding. Some of my other engaged friends are becoming so stressed because their fiancés aren't really taking an interest in the planning or don't give their opinions. Fortunately for me, Jason lends me his shoulder for tears, ears for listening, and input for the plans. We're also doing a tasting at Piece of Havana in Charlotte which I'm totally stoked about (good food for free? Sign me up!) For the reception, we're hoping to have an authentic Hispanic menu -- YUM! Since we're trying to incorporate personal touches in the wedding, that means putting a Hispanic flair to the wedding! :) If any of y'all know of any awesome Hispanic restaurants, please let me know!
You know I'll be keeping you posted on the weight loss, but I thought I would also share about the wedding planning. I'm always looking for unique touches for personalizing a wedding so please share your ideas!
