Caldwell authorities seek clues in mobile home fire

Caldwell County authorities are seeking the public’s help after a mobile home was found burned Tuesday morning.

Investigators described the fire as “suspicious,” but say they don’t believe it is linked to other other fires at mobile homes in the county this month.

The latest fire was reported around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on the 4200 block of Blowing Rock Boulevard in the Patterson community. The residence’s owner said he found the residence burned when he returned from work.

Damages were estimated at about $15,000. The American Red Cross is assisting the victim.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call CrimeStoppers or the Caldwell County Fire Marshal’s Office at 828-757-1280.
