Charlotte firefighters were called Friday morning to repair a ruptured gas line in northwest Charlotte.
A construction crew reportedly broke the line about 7 a.m. in the 7900 block of Old Mount Holly Road. That is near Freedom Drive.
Authorities closed Old Mount Holly Road for nearly an hour until repairs were made. No evacuations were needed. Charlotte fire Capt. Rob Brisley said it took a crew of 25 firefighters about 40 minutes to fix the problem.
