Caldwell business fire probed

HUDSON -- Officials in Caldwell County say they are investigating a fire overnight at a company in Hudson.

The fire was reported shortly before 7 a.m. at Autumn Wood Products, in the 400 block of Pine Mountain Road. But the fire marshal’s office says it believes the fire burned through the night.

The Hudson Fire Department put out what was left of the blaze, authorities say. The fire caused about $5,000 damage.

Authorities say the fire marshal’s office and Hudson police are investigating. Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Hudson police, 828-728-5021; or the fire marshal’s office, 828-757-1280.
