Two men arrested after robbing sweepstakes parlor at gunpoint

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested two suspects who robbed a sweepstakes parlor at gunpoint in southwest Charlotte Tuesday afternoon.

The robbery occurred at a sweepstakes parlor off of Old Pineville Road around 12:40 p.m., according to WCNC-TV, the Charlotte Observer’s news partner.

Police said the suspects robbed the parlor and then drove off in a car that was later found at a Motel 6 parking lot off of Clanton Road.

Police were able to take the two men into custody and are questioning them at the scene.
