Rachel Velasco of Cuthbertson High School in Waxhaw is one of the top six finalists in the United States Competition on Microsoft Office.
Rachel will represent the United States in Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 at the final round of the Worldwide Competition on Microsoft Office in Las Vegas from July29 to Aug. 1.
The 2012 Worldwide Competition on Microsoft Office includes Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint versions 2007 and 2010. More than 250,000 students entered the United States competition. Competitors take timed tests to demonstrate their ability to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
