Lines down on Sardis Lane in SE Charlotte

Sardis Lane in southeast Charlotte is closed Friday morning after a vehicle knocked down power lines overnight.

It is the second time in two months that power lines have been downed on the road, which runs between Sardis Road and Providence Road.

Police say the crash happened on Sardis Lane near Landmark Drive. Duke Energy indicates no power outages in the area at 7:30 a.m., but the road has been closed while power crews repair lines.

Authorities say they expect Sardis Lane to remain closed through the morning commute.
