A script written by recent Cannon School graduate Hailey Wade was performed recently at the 10-Minute Play Festival in Salisbury.
Hailey, from the University City area, wrote “The Business of Six Feet Under Gardening” for a theater class. The play centered around two female friends visiting an acquaintance at her husband’s wake. The friends are aware that the acquaintance had killed her husband.
In November, Hailey was honored by the North Carolina Theatre Conference regional high school play festival for excellence in costume design in the school’s production of “Sorry, Wrong Number.”
