Your morning traffic update

There were few problems Monday morning on roads in the Charlotte region.

No collision-caused delays were being reported at 8:45 a.m. on interstate highways and other major routes in the area. And even the congestion problems were not bad.

An earlier collision at South Caldwell and Third streets in the uptown area has been cleared, and traffic is back to normal there.

No collisions were reported at 8:45 a.m., and here is the congestion situation:

I-85 southbound, Cabarrus County ... Earlier congestion problems have improved, and traffic is moving about 30 mph in the construction zone near Poplar Tent Road and Bruton Smith Boulevard.

I-77 southbound, near Lake Norman ... Traffic is moving about 35 mph through the Davidson-Cornelius-Huntersville area, which is better than usual.
