Eastway project completion delayed

Charlotte transportation officials say bad weather and other problems have delayed completion of a construction project on Eastway Drive.

The southbound lane of Eastway Drive between Burgin Street and Central Avenue will not be reopened until 5 p.m. Aug. 10. Completion originally had been scheduled about a week earlier.

Crews are doing storm water work on the road.
