Forecast: Muggy with scattered storms this afternoon

Scattered showers and thunderstorms may again pop up across parts of the Charlotte region on Saturday afternoon.

The National Weather Service is calling for about a 30-40 percent chance of precipitation, with rain likely to begin moving into the area around 1 p.m. It’ll continue to feel muggy outside and highs are forecast to climb in the upper 80s.

More showers are possible during the evening on Saturday, with a smaller chance for precipitation on Sunday.
