One firefighter was injured battling a blaze Saturday evening at a home northeast of Charlotte’s uptown.
The fire was reported around 7:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of Clemson Avenue. That’s near Highland Mill Montessori Elementary School and not far from the NoDa neighborhood.
Charlotte firefighters said they saw heavy fire coming from the home when they arrived. It took 35 firefighters about 30 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
Charlotte Fire Capt. Rob Brisley said one firefighter suffered a minor injury and was taken to an area hospital.
Investigators remained on the scene late Saturday. They were working to determine the cause of the fire and whether anyone was in the home when the blaze began, Brisley said.
