I hated taking the pits out of cherries with a knife, so I looked in the tool drawer to see if something would work, and I grabbed a nut driver with a 1/4-inch head. It works perfectly. It’s a bit messy, but only leaves a small hole as the seed pops out, so the cherry stays in one piece. Sherri Hager, Statesville
Keep track of next year’s appointments
When I get appointment cards from the doctor’s office, etc., for the following year, I tape the cards to the back of the wall calender. When I get next year’s calender, all the appointment’s are in one place. Becky Rath, Charlotte
Shake-and-bake cereal box bag
I use the bag inside the cereal box to shake and flour my chicken, fish or shrimp. I also use it to marinate different meats.
