Investigators say a Charlotte man wanted on federal drug charges may be linked to the case of a missing woman from Charleston.
The connection is expected to be featured in a segment Friday on “America’s Most Wanted.” The show airs at 9 p.m. on the Lifetime Channel.
John Thomas Reardon, 36, of Charlotte is wanted on felony conspiracy to distribute cocaine, according to the website of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Authorities say he failed to show up for an April court appearance.
Reardon is believed to be the boyfriend of Jessica “Emily” Gregoriev, a 29-year-old woman from James Island, S.C. Gregoriev’s family reported her missing this spring, saying that haven’t heard from her since March 19, according to the Charleston police department.
On its website, “America’s Most Wanted” reports that Gregoriev’s family said the woman planned to travel to Florida with her boyfriend, who they identified as Tommy Reardon. The family reported her missing after not hearing from her for several weeks, according to police and America’s Most Wanted.
“America’s Most Wanted” had already been working on a possible segment about Reardon’s disappearance when they learned his girlfriend had been reported missing, said producer Angeline Hartmann. She says authorities want to figure out whether Gregoriev went on the run with Reardon willingly, or if something happened to her. “That’s what her family is worried about,” Hartmann said.
Reardon is described as being six-feet-3 inches tall, who weighs about 220 pounds and has the frame of a body builder. He is bald with blue eyes and one or both of his ears pieced, according to America’s Most Wanted.
The television show described Gregoriev is described as being 5-foot-11 and 145 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
