One person was killed and another injured Tuesday afternoon in an apparent industrial accident in southwest Charlotte.
Paramedics said they were called around 4:30 p.m. to the 9200 block of Forsyth Park Drive, located off Westinghouse Boulevard.
One person died after being crushed by a large cabinet at a facility there, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police told Observer news partner WCNC-TV.
The victim, whose name wasn’t immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Paramedics said they took another person with injuries described as non-life threatening to Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville.
