Your morning traffic update

The Charlotte region’s major routes are free of major problems at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, but a couple of collisions have been reported on other roads in the area.

All travel lanes are clear on interstate highways in the region, and congestion is not a major problem yet.

Traffic is moving about 30 mph on usually-congested southbound Interstate 85 in Cabarrus County.

The wrecks reported at 7:30 a.m.:

-- Gibbon Road at Old Statesville Road ... A collision, but only minor delays in the area.

-- Sugar Creek Road at W.T. Harris Boulevard ... A multi-vehicle crash with moderate delays.
