GASTONIA -- Police in Gaston County are looking for a man wanted in connection with a shooting Tuesday night that left a woman and her son injured.
The shooting happened about 11 p.m. at a residence on Laurel Woods Drive, west of Gastonia and not far from the Crowders Mountain area.
Police say the mother and son stepped outside their house for a few minutes and were shot by a man walking by. The victims were hospitalized, but authorities say their injuries were not life-threatening.
There is no word as to what might have led to the shooting.
