Squires to raise money for Holy Angels

Charlotte-area members of the Columbian Squires, a Knights of Columbus youth development program, recently visited Holy Angels and met its residents.

Belmont-based Holy Angels is a private, nonprofit corporation that seeks to provide a home of unconditional love and possibilities for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.

The Squires determined that each of the state’s 12 circles will raise at least $250 for the expansion of the Holy Angels gymnasium. Fundraising is to begin this fall, with plans to present Holy Angels with the money at next June’s annual Squires state convention at Belmont Abbey.

The Squires plan to raise funds via sales of Knights of Columbus Christmas cards and subscriptions to the National Catholic Register.
