Forecast: partly sunny, showers possible

Scattered showers and thunderstorms could hit parts of the Charlotte region on Thursday, though not all areas are likely to see rain.

The National Weather Service said there is about a 30 percent chance of precipitation, with the chances of showers and thunderstorms the greatest between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Temperatures could reach 88 degrees on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the chances for rain drops during the evening and no showers are currently in the forecast for Friday. But rain could return on Saturday afternoon.
