A man apparently wearing a fake beard and mustache robbed a northwest Charlotte bank Friday afternoon.
It was the third time the Wells Fargo branch on Couloak Drive, located off Mount Holly-Huntersville Road, has been robbed since July.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation said the suspect in Fridays robbery came into the bank around 3 p.m. and showed a handgun.
A surveillance photo released by the FBI shows the man holding a bag over the tellers counter. No one was hurt.
The suspect was described as a black man who has a slender build and is about 40 years old. He wore a striped shirt, blue jeans, a dark Sox hat and white sneakers, as well as a fake gray facial hair.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or FBI Charlotte at 704-672-6100.
The same bank was robbed on July 26 by a man later identified as Steven Lamonte Stitt, a 42-year-old habitual felon. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Stitt approached a teller, showed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. He was arrested days later.
The branch was also robbed July 31 by a man who pulled a gun from his waistband as he entered the bank, authorities said.
No one has been charged in that case.
