Becca Thiessen is a senior Elementary/Early Childhood Education major at Anderson University who is looking forward to making a positive difference in children's lives. Becca is having a blast planning her wedding, which is scheduled for next May, with her fiance, Jason Perry! Contact Becca here.

After Christmas vacation, Jason asked me if we could take a walk around campus.

Oh, okay... no big deal...

My heart immediately started racing... what in the world was he going to say? I felt sick to my stomach when we began walking and even as he was talking, I was bracing myself for the worse. Jason had thoughtfully considered all things and felt that it was I he should pursue a relationship with.

Say what?!

I was speechless and my heart couldn't have been any happier. Jason then handed me a green spiral notebook that he had been writing in all throughout December; it was a journal of his thoughts and prayers about what he should do. As I walked upstairs to my dorm room, I read the journal and was completely taken aback; he had poured his heart into this and it really showed. We then began dating and it was completely magical. Jason surprised me week after week by giving me my favorite flowers, taking me out for frozen yogurt, and my favorite -- taking me out to Build-a-Bear after creating a word scramble to describe where we were going. He made me feel like a princess; it wasn't because he bought me nice things but it was because he always opened the door for me, offered to help me with the little things, showed me tremendous respect, and was just a great person I could depend on to be there for me. After just a month, I knew that he was the one for me; I had hoped that he was beginning to feel that way toward me, too. The weekend after the Packers had won the Superbowl (Jason had celebrated by screaming down our friend's street), I told Jason that I kinda, sorta, maybe loved him; he responded that he totally loved me.

Talk about getting weak at the knees.

Now, it would be a complete lie if I said that we were the perfect couple and we're about to publish our book, "Guide to the Perfect Relationship by the Perfect Couple." We scream, fight, cry, and drive each other crazy. But the other 98% of the time, we're laughing, smiling, and happier than ever. As Phoebe from Friends would say, I found my lobster.

So what's your love story? How did you meet the love of your life? :)
