CMPD seeks suspects in Family Dollar robbery

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are searching for two men wanted in an armed robbery earlier this month at a Family Dollar store in south Charlotte.

The robbery occurred around 10:15 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Family Dollar in the 200 block of West Arrowood Road, police said Wednesday.

Police released a surveillance photo Wednesday of one of the suspects, who was described as a dark-skinned black male, approximately 6-feet tall and 175-180 pounds, with black hair, a moustache and goatee. In the photo, the man is wearing a black, brown and green hoodie, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.

The second suspect was described as a black male who is 6-feet-1 and 180-190 pounds, with hair styled in an afro and possibly a goatee. Police said the man was wearing a light-colored t-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the suspects or robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
