Rowan authorities find missing woman, 44

Observer staff reports

Authorities in Rowan County say they have found a 44-year-old woman who had been missing for more than a week.

Relatives of Gina Peeler Wagner told police they had been unable to make contact with the woman since Sept. 2, when she was last seen leaving the town of Faith, according to the Granite Quarry-Faith Police Department.

Late Wednesday, police said they’d received new information suggesting Peeler may have been in the Lake Tillery area.

On Thursday night, police said a tip led them to find Wagner. No additional details were released.
