Hickory police say a high school student who had gone missing for several days was found safe around lunchtime Thursday.
Police issued a news release earlier in the day saying Caleb Watts, 17, had not been seen since Saturday when he was spotted walking to the Holiday Foods on Springs Road NE in Hickory.
The St. Stephens High School student also had not attended class this week, police said this morning.
But around 12:45 p.m., the Hickory police department said Watts had been located. Further details were not immediately available.
