Best of what's on TV

On HGTV

Reincarnation: Some homes had their starts as a church or a furniture store. Get the inside story of transformation from homeowners who used creativity and innovative design concepts to turn things like hydro-electric dams, grain silos, and banks into charming homes.

“You Live in What?” airs at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Unique homes: Take an inside look at some of the most spectacular houses ever built. You'll see everything from a home carved into the side of a red rock canyon to one that is built completely underground; a home suspended in mid-air and one that uses concrete for everything from the floors to the furniture.

“Extreme Homes” airs at 9 p.m. Thursday.

On DIY

Kitchen update: New homeowners feel stuck in a rut with a kitchen that looks straight out of the '60s. They update the yellow and brown tile, linoleum floor and the wallpaper with contemporary touches like hanging shelves and a one-of-a-kind honeycomb wine rack. They round the look out with custom stools, updated cabinetry and a new island made from recycled countertops.

“House Crashers” airs at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Bathroom redo: An incomplete bathroom renovation job has fried Heather's nerves. Loose tiles and a lack of direction aren't doing much to sooth her concerns. Host Bryan comes to the rescue by showing Graham the proper way to finish the project and restore Heather's patience.

“Disaster DIY” airs at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
