Pedestrian struck in westside hit and run

Police were investigating a hit-and-run early Sunday that sent a pedestrian to a Charlotte hospital.

The injured man told police he was walking on Marlowe Avenue about 3 a.m. when he was struck, wbtv.com reported. The victim was not identified.

The driver sped away, the victim told officers, and he was not able to describe the vehicle.

Anyone with information that would help investigators was being asked to call at 704-334-1600.
