Police: Dog walker stole from clients

By Glenn Counts
NewsChannel 36

Jordan Frye has been in the dog walking business since he was 19. He’s the owner of Queen City Dog service.

But over the weekend, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested Frye and accused him of stealing from at least three of his clients.

Investigators said Frye, 21, took expensive jewelry and electronics. They believe he used house keys to gain access to homes when the owners were away.

“I didn’t treat him like an employee, I treated him like a little brother,” a woman who did not want to be identified told NewsChannel 36, the Observer’s news partner.

Another victim – who described Frye as a “sharp young man” and “great with animals”– said he was caught off guard.

“That’s what was so upsetting when I found out about this because he had been with me for two years,” said a victim.

So far officers have three victims, but given Frye’s list of clients they say there is a potential for many more.
