STATESVILLE -- Authorities in Iredell County say they are looking for two men in connection with a home invasion and robbery last Friday near Statesville.
The sheriff’s office has identified the men as Christopher Minier, 20, of River Hill Road in Statesville, and Tanner Lee Hallman, 35, of Bostian Lake Road in Statesville. A third man also was involved in the incident, deputies say, but they do not have a name for that suspect.
Deputies say they were called about 9:30 p.m. Friday to a residence on Log Cabin Road, about a robbery in progress. When they arrived, the suspects had gone, but victims said three men entered the home, carrying guns and knives.
Deputies launched a manhunt, setting up a perimeter around the residence and calling in the N.C. Highway Patrol helicopter to assist in the search. But the bandits got away.
Investigators say they warrants pending against Minier and Hallman for first-degree burglary; armed robbery; second-degree kidnapping; communicating threats; assault by pointing a weapon; and assault on a female.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Minier and Hallman is asked to call 911 or contact the sheriff’s office at 704-878-3180. Information also can be left anonymously with Crime Stoppers, 704-662-1340.
